The luxury watch market is mainly collections designed for men. For more than a century, Patek Philippe has gained recognition by selling early models to women.
Thierry Stern, President of Patek Philippe, said: “From the very beginning, Patek Philippe has been known by Queen Victoria who bought watches. The important thing is that we always have a ladies series. Ladies need their own watches, It’s not a men’s watch with a few diamonds, but a real watch designed for women.”
It turns out that their gorgeously decorated pocket watches and pendants are very popular with female customers, especially members of the royal family. As early as 1868, the Hungarian Countess Koscowicz commissioned the production of the first Swiss-made watch. In 1916, the manufacturer’s first strike work watch was a ladies’ timepiece with a five-minute strike function.
The growing demand for watches during the Art Deco era provided Patek Philippe with an opportunity to further demonstrate its affinity with female tastes. They made countless models with different shapes and decorations.
In 1999, they launched the 20~4 watch series, which embodies the eternal feminine elegance. It is designed for active and modern women and is the perfect choice for every moment of her life, day or night. This is a series that complements all aspects of daily life; at work, with family, private and social activities, and leisure activities.
The manchette watch uses a quartz movement and comes in various stainless steel and gold versions. The high jewellery watch launched in 2003 is equipped with a manual winding mechanical movement. The twenty-four-year-old timeless design has become a modern classic, bringing the beauty of every moment of life to independent and successful women.
The Geneva watchmaker updated three new editions this year. The round case Twenty~4 Automatic has launched two new models, one of which is a stainless steel model with an olive green sunburst dial. The other is rose gold with a gold-plated rose gold sunburst dial.
