These pieces include some striking new Calatravas with vibrant colours, sophisticated world timers and an ultra-complex quadruple complication salmon dial.
Patek Philippe has another big show this weekend in Tokyo, Japan, and it has just released six new models to celebrate the occasion. Technical prowess that surpasses complications such as Quadruple Complications Ref. 5308P-010 Equipped with a minute repeater, split-seconds chronograph and instant perpetual calendar, Patek Philippe seems intent on causing a stir with the vibrant hues of the aforementioned salmon-coloured dial, referencing the Royal Purple World Chronograph and the two pastel-coloured Calatravas.
However, the overall vibe is one of sophistication and elegance. Compared with the busier releases by the Swiss watchmaker at its last exhibition in Singapore in 2019, one suspects the more coveted Japanese models will be revealed today. Of course, they’re only available to residents of Japan, so for anyone else hoping to get their hands on it, you might have to wait a few years for it to naturally show up at a higher price on the secondary market.
No. 5308P-010
The undeniable highlight and ‘grandfather’ of the Tokyo launch is this 42mm platinum salmon dial timepiece that combines a minute repeater, split-seconds chronograph and instant calendar. It is derived from the company’s 2011 triple complication reference 5208, which featured a minute repeater, chronograph and instant perpetual calendar. Adding a rattrapante function proved particularly challenging in the 799-part R CHR 27 PS QI movement due to energy consumption. Therefore, the new movement increases the barrel torque, and the platinum micro-rotor increases the winding power. Of course, such a large new version also involves some patents, including the backlash compensation wheel that eliminates the friction of the chronograph clutch, and the isolation system that eliminates energy consumption when the split-seconds hand stops. The split-seconds function is controlled by a pusher at 4 o’clock. perfect cheap watch
However, other complications let us know that this is a traditional dress watch. The minute repeater features two traditional gongs, while the monopusher chronograph features a classic 60-minute counter at 3 o’clock and a 12-hour counter at 9 o’clock. The instantaneous perpetual calendar is also equipped with a 30-millisecond disc, which can read the day, date and month in the apertures at the top of the dial from 10 o’clock to 2 o’clock. Of course, the moon phase and seconds are at 6 o’clock.
Note, however, that the split-seconds chronograph function of this ultra-high-end watch still has a certain sporty appeal, further accentuated by charcoal-gray white gold-set hour markers that further accentuate the casual and modern-looking rose gold-plated opaline salmon dial on top of it. Comes with two interchangeable casebacks: one engraved with “Patek Philippe Tokyo” in sapphire crystal and the other in solid platinum with the same inscription.
No. 5531R-014
Patek Philippe’s world timers are always coveted, but this 40.2 x 11.49 mm 18-carat rose gold version, exclusively for the Tokyo market, is a remarkable iteration featuring a rare handcrafted dial in Grand Feu cloisonne with Tokyo Downtown map historic week district. It is also equipped with a minute repeater of the self-winding R 27 HU movement, equipped with a patented chime mechanism that chimes the local time for the time zone indicated at 12 o’clock. Its gongs are fastened directly to the case, which is beautifully hand-guillochéd on the outside. Like the aforementioned reference, it also comes with an interchangeable case booklet bearing the inscription “Patek Philippe Tokyo”. online fake watch
Model 5330G
In Japan, purple is a color often associated with emperors and nobility, so it’s only fitting that Patek Philippe wanted to introduce a highly sophisticated function in the royal hue. This 40mm x 11.7mm timepiece in 18-carat white gold is also a world timer, but this particular model does not have a minute repeater. However, it does have a world first: a date display synchronized with local time, displayed at 12 o’clock, in line with the time indicated by the central white gold hand. The new movement, Caliber 240 HU C, has been specially developed to perform a function second to none, displaying the date in local time using a patented differential system. Transparent glass hands with red lacquered tips – the first double patent for Patek Philippe – are used to indicate the date. It’s a subtle, unique feature that will please collectors, and, while it makes for a cleaner looking dial, it might be harder to read for some. Other red indications include a red dot representing the rising sun for Tokyo at the 12 mark on the central disc, a smaller red dot between Auckland and Midway to mark the date line and Tokyo, and of course, on the city disc is also shown in red.
Featuring a sapphire crystal case embossed with “Patek Philippe Tokyo” and a matching fuchsia alligator strap. Patek Philippe has clearly mastered the world timer, but it’s also growing in popularity among those who appreciate small style glitz, and this rich hue is sure to stand out in a room.
Model 7121-200G
This is a watch for the ladies who like serious complications when buying a very serious Patek Philippe. This classic Calatrava officer style 33 x 8.35 mm white gold timepiece features moon phases and small seconds indication at 6 o’clock and is powered by the hand-wound Caliber 215 PS LU movement. Its moon phases are so accurate that it deviates from the true lunar cycle by only one day every 122 years.
The pearlescent gray sunburst dial and matching gray alligator leather strap complement its technical prowess. The hue is very chic and we hope to see more timepieces in this color. The case is set with 132 brilliant-cut diamonds, but a version without a case is also welcome. Maybe it’s wishful thinking, since this model is like every other one. best Fake watches
Models 6127G and 7127G
Patek Philippe is having fun cleaning. Two brightly colored Calatravas watches debut in Tokyo with lavender and light blue dials and alligator straps. Japan is known for being ultra-conservative, ultra-creative, and stylish, and these pieces cater to both moods. Available in 31mm and 36mm sizes, these are particularly attractive propositions for all genders, although we must say the saccharine color can be more subversively popular on male wrists, especially if worn with enough clothing flamboyance to match. They are all equipped with a manual Caliber 215 PS hand-wound movement with small seconds. Both are fitted with a new Calatrava case, both with butterfly-wing double-layered lugs inspired by the Ref. 5270 model.
