All three chronographs are based on Breitling’s Top Time model

It must have been a very difficult time to be alive in the 1960s. From witnessing iconic sports cars like the Shelby Cobra to the Beatles, there is nothing better than this. Now, Breitling has launched three new chronographs with the theme of classic cars from the 60s. Oh, they are as beautiful as the sports cars they are based on.

From the Shelby Cobra, the second-generation Corvette and the first-generation Ford Mustang in the early 1960s, we all know that these sports cars were and today are very spectacular. Each of Breitling’s Top Time Classic Cars Capsule series has a unique dial color. Corvette turns red, Shelby Cobra turns blue, Mustang turns green. These watches bear the seal of the car logo.

For Corvette and Mustang, their case size is 42 mm, equipped with a COSC-certified Breitling Calibre 25, a self-winding 1/8-second chronograph movement, and a power reserve of approximately 42 hours. Shelby Cobra uses a 40 mm case and is equipped with a COSC certified movement based on Breitling 41. It is a self-winding 1/4 second chronograph movement with a power reserve of approximately 42 hours.

These are modern and retro interpretations, and you can really appreciate the taste of classic sports cars. For example, these vintage brands are marked with them: Shelby Cobra’s Cobra, Corvette’s racing flag, and Mustang’s Mustang. In addition, there is an engraved car logo on the closed bottom cover. The strap of each watch is made of calfskin and has a racing theme.

Inside the smaller 40mm Top Time Shelby Cobra, it is equipped with the COSC-certified Breitling Calibre 41, which is a self-winding 1/4 second chronograph movement with a power reserve of about 42 hours. It has a white tachymeter scale and two white contrasting subdials, as well as the Cobra logo at 6 o’clock.
