For me, the SevenFriday SF-M1B / 01 Urban Explorer watch is a welcome return to form. According to my estimation, the brand has recently gone bankrupt. When SevenFriday expanded beyond the original P series, I worried about its existence. However, this model gave me hope that the brand would return to its roots. Tell me you like the 47mm TV-style case powered by the standard Miyota 9015 movement, but they have a niche market. They are one of the few brands in this price range, and they are so aggressive that serious watch snobs don’t seem to hate it. Of course, this exaggerated design often has some doubts, but the era of SevenFriday watches is incredibly confident. In short, they keep it simple. And it works.
This is the correct position of the SevenFriday SF-M1B / 01 Urban Explorer watch. For me, the heyday of this brand is the P series and M series fashion fake watches . The new products in the latter series are very reliable entry-level products, adopting the original M series concept and improving it. The running seconds indicator on the horizontal axis is excellent. Flip the crown to the right side of the case is a welcome move. When the eyes move from left to right, I think it makes sense to arrive at hours, minutes and seconds in this order. The intricate seven-layer dial is easy to read; its clever use of textures and finishes increases interest without distracting. Dial screws, stainless steel effect elements and futuristic fonts provide ideal industrial features for this product.
The readings of the M series are easier to digest than any other. Some iterations are a bit cold, but this iteration has a huge interaction between textures, making the whole work more vivid. The denim strap adds more casual elements to the brand’s formal watches. The rough cotton texture perfectly matches the sandblasted decorative ring and steel dial. Alternate surface treatments do increase the perceived value of the timepiece, although it has all the aesthetic qualities, it is still affordable.

Regarding SevenFriday watches, the most eye-catching has always been the case. The size, shape and clever decorative band can add texture or color to the exterior, thereby improving recognition. Since the P series, I don’t want to have a SevenFriday. But this will be very popular on my wrist. Denim has always been an ideal material for me to pair with luxury watches, but I have never believed it, but this price point may be perfect for trying to blend craftsmanship.
