The classic blue color scheme brings the legendary Porsche 911 into the wrist.
Simple and exquisite, ergonomics are fully considered in the design, and its precise manufacturing is the same as the car of the same name as the watch… In the best sense, the Porsche Design watch is unique. But they are not just an exercise in style; everything that a Porsche Design watch brings to you is more than just a beautiful face. We have seen this in the past, and it still appears in the brand’s latest works, including the new Porsche Design 1919 Chronotimer Flyback, and now there is a new (and very handsome) version of Blue&Leather.
Here, it does not matter whether you get in the car. Although Porsche Design watches are designed according to the Porsche spirit, they are not necessarily designed as car-related products. When you look at the 911, it is a motorsport icon that has existed since 1963, and it has obviously withstood the test of time as a timeless contemporary engineering work. You will find that Porsche Design knows one or two things. Create beautiful and high-performance machines.
Porsche Design copy watches – and most objects produced by Porsche Studios – share one thing: I love simple, concise design, the details of which are not just for decorative purposes. It may sound dull at first, but it is not. The beauty of Porsche Design Watch lies in its reasonable German philosophy: “Form follows function”, in which ergonomics guide the designer’s pen. As early as 1963, Ferdinand Alexander (Ferdinand Alexander “Butzi”) Porsche designed the 911. In 1972, he created his first watch, the first to use titanium and black coating, it is a fact. See the current Porsche Design 1919 Chronotimer Flyback Blue & Leather reinforces this concept.
Porsche designed in 1919, unique shape
Since its birth, Porsche Design has been adhering to a low-key, stylish, and ergonomic design concept, and launched the first Porsche Design watch in 1972. Everything you see on the watch is here for good reason. Each shape has a reason for its existence. As far as the 1919 Chronotimer is concerned, its shape is comparable to any other product on the market.
The 1919 series, regardless of the movement or complexity inside the case, are built around a very special design. It all starts with a simple cylindrical central container. Then there is the remaining box, which is designed to increase resistance, strength and (mainly) ergonomics. The case is designed as a whole, following the curvature of the wrist, and with hollow lug modules, so that the central case is actually a floating case. Although the lines are very sleek, but this watch still has an excellent appearance and authentic personality. It feels the same, and the overall feeling is very “well-designed”.
The Porsche Design 1919 Chronotimer Flyback has a case diameter of 42 mm and a height of 14.9 mm. It is not a small watch in itself. Visually speaking, it is also huge. Nevertheless, this is a piece of clothing worth wearing. On the wrist, the concept of ergonomics does make sense. Balanced, safe, sturdy but not huge… quite special.
Titanium Course
What would a Porsche design look like without a titanium case? This material is part of the brand’s DNA. With the help of IWC’s technology (IWC has been a manufacturing partner of Porsche Design since 1978), the brand became one of the first companies in the market to introduce all-titanium watches (including titanium bracelets) (1970, Citizen pioneered the use of titanium in watches) and later became the symbol of PD watches.
Titanium has been PD’s favorite for many years, and for good reason. The ergonomic titanium metal allows Porsche Design to freely make larger watches without compromising the comfort or performance of the fake men watch. Titanium is 40% lighter than stainless steel, but its high tensile strength makes it the material of choice for racing cars.
Of course, the Porsche Design 1919 Chronotimer Flyback is made of titanium, but now it uses grade 5, which allows the brand to combine the usual matte, glass bead sandblasted surface and elegant polished decoration on the bezel and push rod. Combining the unusual but effective shape of the watch case with this material can enhance the comfort of the wrist.
Blue dial and 911 source leather
The Chronotimer Flyback designed by Porsche in 1919 was not a new model. It showcased its new mechanism at the 2018 Basel International Watch and Jewellery Show. The models we provide here are new versions with new colors and new belts. The first is the new dark blue dial-this color really matches the dark tone of titanium.
The dial of the 1919 chronograph followed the same rules as the case. The key here is legibility, and all indications should be properly positioned and distinguished from each other. The dial has a variety of surface treatments, the middle area is frosted blue, and there is a round brushed minute record.
The dial is simple, efficient and symmetrical. The hands and hour hands are filled with Super-LumiNova, and all indications are displayed in white to contrast with the blue background. The indication of the chronograph includes a central seconds hand and 30-minute and 12-hour counters. To keep the dial balanced, the small second hand has been reduced to a cautious running indicator, echoing the logo at 3 o’clock. Perhaps for the sake of elegance, the date can be deleted.
The color of this new Porsche Design 1919 Chronotimer Flyback Blue&Leather is relatively discreet, which corresponds to the overall simplicity of the watch. PD is usually seen on titanium bracelets. PD decided to use a one-piece leather strap made of fine calfskin to add elegance to this watch-the same material used in the interior of the Porsche sports car. The strap is perfectly integrated with the design of the watch, and has gray stitching and a titanium folding clasp.
Timed flyback engine
For many years, Porsche Design fake watches have been equipped with ETA Valjoux or Lemania movements. For example, the previous 1919 Chronotimer watches, like this kind of watches, relied on a third-party movement-to be precise, the Sellita SW-500. However, in 2017, the brand decided to improve its gaming level and launched a new movement, the “GT3 version” of the automatic chronograph… sharper, more precise, better performance and more features.
The movement is called Porsche Design Calibre WERK 01.200 and was developed in-house and is now manufactured by a trusted third party according to Porsche Design’s own specifications. Therefore, this is the so-called “proprietary” sport-a practice often used in car manufacturing.
The WERK 01.200 movement is an integrated automatic cam chronograph that shares its infrastructure with the trusted Valjoux base. However, it has been upgraded on multiple levels. First, it is equipped with a flyback function that can record multiple timing sessions continuously.
Just press the 4 o’clock button to execute the “stop-reset-start” sequence instead of the classic 3-step sequence-this is very useful for the pilot and crew to time several consecutive laps. In addition, the movement has tungsten winding quality, which can improve winding efficiency.
The movement focuses on precision and has obtained the COSC-certified chronometer – the official Swiss chronograph (Contrôle Officiel Suisse des Chronomètres). The rest of the specifications are familiar, with a frequency of 4Hz and a power reserve of 42 hours. The movement is decorated with blackened bridges, plates and rotors, which contrast sharply with rhodium-plated and brass parts . cheap men watch
The new blue leather version of the Porsche Design 1919 Chronotimer Flyback is a permanent model in the series.
